- Prefer poses that appear suitable to your mood and energy level.
- Start with gentler poses and improve to stronger ones.
- Breathe calmly through the nose throughout the postures.
- Do not rush into and out of a pose.
- Do not strain in a pose - if it hurts, stop.
- Don't regularly practice in front of a mirror. Focus on how the pose feels, not what it seems like.
- The postures should be both sound and soft.
